Tom will be making Rafters favourite squid ink pasta recipe with produce from JH Mann and Alistair’s wine pairing recommendations.
Tom Lawson, Chef Patron at Rafters Restaurant, has been cooking since the age of 13 when he discovered his love for it in the School holidays when he enrolled in a cooking course at Sheffield College. Since joining the industry just 2 hours after his last GCSE exam Tom has catapulted himself to the top and is now co-owner of Rafters Restaurant which currently holds 2 AA Rosettes, a listing in the Michelin Guide, Hardens Guide – Highly recommended and Sheffield’s only listing in the Waitrose Good Food Guide
Co-owner and Certified Sommelier Alistair Myers would rather spend his lunch breaks grabbing the best bottles from local merchants than grabbing a bite to eat. His passion for wine, built up over several decades, has seen him scouring both local and international merchants for those unique and interesting parcels to serve by the bottle or the glass.
