The normal Springbank holiday moves over to the start of June next year to coincide with the Jubilee celebrations and its the actual Thursday and Friday that become the bank holiday days! The annual Sheffield Food Festival is currently the city’s largest free to attend event and takes place in the city centre, spreading across the Peace Gardens, Winter Gardens, Millennium Square, Town Hall Square and Pinstone St, attracting thousands of visitors across a weekend.

The event will have an enhanced produce and artisan Market section, that features food producers and businesses from around Sheffield and further afield, bringing a range of vegetables, fruits, spices, preserves, oils, cakes, cookery books, craft beers, gins, cakes and much more for you to take home and enjoy.

The extensive Street Food market is jam packed with delicious treats from local companies; with over 90% of our traders based in the city, it really is a celebration of all things Sheffield food and drink. Add into it the Green Village who we are working with Heeley City Farm as a host Organisation to bring together a showcase of all the amazing organisations, groups and businesses working on sustainable, environmental and organic produce, practises and procedures, amongst many other amazing achievements throughout the year.

The final part of the event is the ever popular Eats. Treats and Beats Festival Village, which has now been moved into the Peace Gardens core fountain area and will now feature a new Demo stage for chefs and local celebrities and people of passion giving cooking demos, talks and showcases on all things food and drink and that will be in between the bands and DJs on the Festival Village stage and all supported by core local breweries serving a fabulous selection of local ales and lagers. Add in the street food vendors and the later running hours of the Festival Village and you have an event fit to celebrate the Diamond Jubliee in style !!
